What are the best headphones for me to buy?

Here’s my situation:
I listen to a lot of music off my iMac through iTunes through headphones. The music I listen to is mostly rock (Thousand Foot Krutch, Switchfoot, Skillet…) though I listen to lots of other types of music as well. Bass & noise cancellation aren’t that important to me, but I really want great sound quality. Size of the headphones doesn’t matter either as these are just for when I’m sitting at my computer. I don’t know a ton about headphones, currently I use some Maxell headphones I bought off Woot. I want to buy the best sounding headphones for the money. I’m a college student, so under $50 would be great, but if it makes a huge difference, I’m willing to go up to $100. My research online has my current frontrunners as Koss PortaPro or Audio-Technica ATH-M50 or ATH-A700 based solely on reviews. Does anyone know which of these 3 is the way to go or know of some other headphone in my range that would work better for me? Thank you so much for any help.

For under $50 I would recommend Audio-Technica ATH-M30 Professional Headphones, great sound quality and comfy fit.
