I live in an apartment where the kitchen, big hallway (kinda like a dining room but we have it empty), and living room is all connected. We want to paint the long wall going from kitchen into hallway; it is technically not in living room but you can see all walls when walking in.
Would it matter if I pick a totally different color for that long wall (like a blue or yellow or something) or should it go with the other colors in living room?
or even if I painted a pink, mauvish, rose color… or blue, we want something different but we don’t want it to look like a mess of paint.
i think anything u want… my aunt has every wall in her house painted a diff color and it’s totaly her… i don’t think it would matter if it didn’t match…

What Is The Best Way To Ship Large Art Work To Customers?
I’d like to ship a wall sculpture.
It’s about 125 pounds…
7 ft long and 3 ft wide, which I can colapse into 15 in.
I prefer local pick-up only.
However, the buyer insists on paying the shiping costs via his/her Fedex account.
The buyer lives in Roanoke VA.
My art is in NJ at Dad’s.
How do I facilitate this?
That is a tough one.
Economically, “ground” is the recommended form of delivery. It takes 5 business days and if you want it there by Christmas then you need to have it packes and shipped by the 19th. It is cheaper but not safer.
Best option is “express” which sends it in 3 business days by plane and offers you less opportunity for damage to the sculpture.
Both options allow you to ship in wooden crates.
As far as packing it, the best option if you can find them are foam bags. You bubble wrap the item and then you place the first bag in the crate and fill it with foam and then quickly place the item(s) on the bag to get the bag to form solidly around the item(s) You do the dame thing with the bag that goes on top of the item(s) pressing down with a smooth flat surface to allow the foam to harden. It doesn’t take long but this is an option only most professional shippers and manufacturing companies have.
Otherwise you should consider sawdust or crushed shreaded newspaper to go around the bubble wrapped.
Styrofoam allows for too much movement so peanuts are not a good option with art work.
The biggest problem is weight. You will be charges for the weight of the crate and the packing as well as the artwork, so expect the 125 lbs to grow tremendously once packed.
FEDEX also recommends that you get the contents insured.
They only insure a package for 500 dollars.
They recommend that whoever is paying for this either call their own insurance company or contact Trans Global Insurance at 1 (800) 245-4852 and get the package properly insured just in case.
FEDEX’s number is 1 (800) 463-3339
They will schedule a pick up at your request.
Rates vary upon the size and weight of each package you ship.
